The Tests Begin

Well.. Valentine’s Day is upon us. We celebrated Valentine’s Day tonight, a night early, with our kiddos, as much as a terrified family can celebrate Valentine’s Day. We had a family dinner, provided by a sweet friend, then let the kids open their treats. This was all after we made a mad dash packing the kid’s things to disperse them among other sweet friends so we can go do these awful scans with our little guy.

Just as we were frantically getting it all together, I look out the window to see Chad watching the boys wrestle, kick, fight and laugh out on our trampoline, just as brothers do. Clayton is having a ball, completely unknowing of what lies ahead for him. He’s confused. He keeps getting presents and cards and phone calls. He’s thinking its pretty cool. Precious, unknowing, gorgeous boy.
So, tomorrow, February 14, Valentine’s Day 2012 here is what we face. In other words, here are our prayer points.
8:30- CT Scan of the chest
9:30- Dye will be put in Clayton
1:00- Bone Scan
Following those procedures, sometime later on Tuesday or Wednesday they will also do a scan of the head and neck and also an MRI.
Friday at 7:45- Bone Marrow test and Spinal Tap
As far as the in between times, we’re just not sure.
Please pray for grace and mercy on Clayton. He is pure and blameless and undeserving of the discomfort these things are going to bring him. Breaks a Mom and Dads heart.
Please also pray for our other kids as they are with friends and scared of the unknown as well.
We are trusting God for clean scans and only pictures of our healthy little boy.

  4. Kesleigh, I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, however I have seen your precious Clayton play basketball with my Godson/nephew, Jackson Baird. My heart is breaking for you right now, however it also delights in knowing you have your faith and so much Godly support surrounding you and your family. I want you to know I have and I will continue to lift up prayers for Clayton for complete healing from Christ, our Savior, our Healer. And for comfort and peace for you and your family from our Savior, our Prince of Peace. I share these Words with you, God's amazing Words, in hope in brings you some comfort, peace and hope as only His Word can......
    And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. Truly if anyone says to the mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea', and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you receive it, and it will be yours".
    Mark 11:22-24
    "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest". Matthew 11:28
    May God bless you and yours...
    For His Glory

  5. I will be praying for you guys all day, every day this week. I am praying the words of Psalms 91 over your family.
    1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
    2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”
    3 Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
    4 He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
    5 You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
    6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
    7 A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
    8 You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

    9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
    10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
    11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
    12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
    13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

    14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
    15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
    16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

  7. The Tirado family is praying without ceasing for the Castles!! I have a small idea of how you feel right now, last September we awaited test results for our precious boy. The Lord delivered him from a devastating diagnosis and I'm believing God that He will deliver Clay from this diagnosis you have received for him.

    Be still there is a healer
    His love is deeper than the sea
    His mercy, it is unfailing
    His arms a shelter for the weak
    Let Faith arise, let faith arise!
    I lift my hands to believe again
    You are my shelter, you are my strength!
    As I pour out my heart, these things I remember,
    You are Faithful God forever!
    Let Faith Arise!

    I can't hear this song without thinking of our trial, these words were burned on my heart during that time and brought comfort to me. May the rising of the Faith of His people who are praying you through Claytons trial bring you some comfort and peace and fuel all the hope you have in your hearts!!
    You all are daily in our prayers!

  8. Trusting God with you, friend. I am praying for you all.
